Is there any provision to bring back Nirav Modi and his family to India and put them in jail for what they have done?

It is highly unlikely that Nirav Modi and his family will be brought in India and put in jail because :

1.       His father and younger brother are Belgium citizens. Their country will not hand over their citizens to India.

2.      His wife is US citizen. The crime has not occured on Uncle Sam's soil.

3.      Since his wife is US citizen, he will apply for US citizenship. If not, he will go to Belgium to be with his father.

4.      He moved his children from Dhirubai Ambani school to Newyork where they have already taken admission to new school.

5.      They have also carried their pet dog. The extradition treaty is not applicable to animals.

6.      Even if India requests for extradition, the US court will have to be convinced. Even if he is held guilty, he will undergo sentence in US jail like Hadley, one of conspirator of Mumbai terror attack of 2008.

7.      We have extradition treaty with England but we could not bring any fugitives in last 25 years. That is why Lalit Modi and Nirav Modi choose it safe haven.

8.      It is easy to get terrorists and contract killers to be extradited to India but not white collared ultra rich fraudsters.

9.      Our politicians would not like him to return else he will expose them.

10.  If he gets into Indian prison, he will face risk to his own life from prisoners.

Sorry to say we have to forget him and our money he fled with. Let's see how many Indians we are able to put in prison.

Also let's see how many diamonds are real and fake that he left behind in India worth 5000 crores for us. Even if real who will buy the cursed and inauspicious treasure when put up for public auction.
