Covid impact: Sebi further extends deadline to file Q4 results till July 31 Earlier in March, Sebi had extended the deadline to file financial results till June 30. ETMarkets.com|Last Updated: Jun 24, 2020, 02.26 PM IST

Sebi-

New Delhi: Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Wednesday extended the timeline for submission of financial results by a month to July 31 in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

In a release, Sebi said that it has received representations from listed entities, chartered accountants and industry bodies seeking further extension of time for preparation, finalisation and submission of financial results for the March quarter, half year and FY20.

“Due to many reasons, like the continuing lockdown, subsidiaries and associates situated in containment zones making the audit process challenging and other operational challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” the market regulator said.

Earlier in March, Sebi had extended the deadline to file financial results till June 30.

In another update, relaxing compliance requirement for foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), Sebi on Tuesday allowed scanned copies of documents for renewing renewing registration till August 31.

Earlier, this relaxation too was given till June 30.Sebi said in a circular that it received representations from various stakeholders about extending temporary relaxation with respect to compliance requirements for FPIs.

Accordingly, the regulator has decided to extend the relaxations in a situation where FPIs are not in a position to send original and/or certified documents.

India Positive: Aanchal Gangwal's father is a tea seller in MP. And she has just joined IAF as an officer! The MP CM was all-praise for the young girl. ET Online and Agencies|Last Updated: Jun 23, 2020, 04.29 PM IST

Aanchal got the inspiration to join the IAF after witnessing the bravery of personnel during the 2013 Kedarnath tragedy.

In our lifetime, many of us face obstacles but only a few of us have the courage and determination to face them head-on and pass with flying colours. 24-year-old Aanchal Gangwal, a tea-seller’s daughter from MP, who got accepted into IAF (Indian Air Force) as a Flying Officer, did precisely that.

Coming from a humble background, Aanchal’s journey was not an easy one as there were times when her father struggled to make ends meet and pay her education fees.

"Her commissioning was a proud moment for our family, but we could not make it (to the Air Force Academy at Dundigal) to see her due to the coronavirus-induced restrictions," her father Suresh Gangwal, who works as a tea seller at a bus stand in Neemuch district, told PTI.

Aanchal got the inspiration to join the IAF after witnessing the bravery of personnel during the 2013 Kedarnath tragedy.

A bright student, who also happens to be a basketball player, collected information information from book stalls on how she could get into the defence force and started preparations in that direction.

However, Aanchal’s father, too, faced several challenges to make his daughter’s dream come true.

"One can understand my financial condition. At times, I faced problems in depositing her school or college fee. I had to borrow money from others on many occasions to deposit the fee. Sometimes I had to pretend to be out of town to delay fees deposition,” said Suresh Gangwal, Aanchal’s father.

Aanchal also happened to earn the praise of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, who sent out a tweet congratulating the young warrior.

Think Big,Grow More.Learn ."HOW TO HANDLE FAILURES"

Silhouette of suicide man
There was a very brilliant boy, he always scored 100% in Science.
Got Selected for IIT Madras and scored excellent in IIT.
Went to the University of California for MBA.
Got a high paying job in America and settled there.
Married a Beautiful Tamil Girl.
Bought a 5 room big house and luxury cars.
He had everything that make him successful but a few years ago he committed suicide after shooting his wife and children.
*WHAT WENT WRONG?*
California Institute of Clinical Psychology Studied his case and found *“What went wrong?”*
The researcher met the boy's friends and family and found that he lost his job due to America’s economic crisis and he had to sit without a job for a long time.
After even reducing his previous salary amount, he didn't get any job.
Then his house installment broke and he and his family lost the home.
They survived a few months with less money and then he and his wife together decided to commit suicide.
He first shot his wife and children and then shot himself.
_The case concluded that the man was Programmed for *success* but he was not *trained for handling failures*._
Now let's come to the actual question.
*What are the habits of highly successful people?*
First of all, I want to tell you that _if you have achieved everything, there is a chance to lose everything, nobody knows when the next economic crisis will hit the world._
_*The best success habit is getting trained for handling failures*._
I want to request every parent, please do not only program your child to be *successful* but *teach them how to handle failures* and also teach them proper lessons about life.
Learning high-level science and maths will help them to clear competitive exams but a knowledge about life will help them to face every problem.
_Teach them about how *money works* instead of teaching them to *work for money.*_
Help them in finding their passion because these degrees will not help them in the next economic crisis and we don’t know when the next crisis will hit the world.
*"Success is a lousy teacher. Failure teaches you more."*
*_"Think Big, Grow More, Learn 'How to handle Failures'"_*

India claims to have captured China's J20 fighters by radar, but China's J20 fighters have never been deployed in the border area between China and India. How did the Indian army search for stealth fighters thousands of kilometers away?

Replied by Max Sharma thru Quora

Let me try to attempt to answer it. For context, below is the link which explains IAF claim of SU 30 MKI tracking J-20 over Tibet.
When people say J-20 is a stealth fighter, the thing to note is that stealth is not absolute. There are degrees of stealth e.g. modern Rafale is stealthier than Mirage 2000, F-35 is many times more stealthy than Su-57. Over the year Radar technology has been improved substantially to counter stealth. Stealth is not only result of shape but also varies with reduction in IR signature, angle of radar scan and many other factors which we are not going to discuss here. There is also much less information available about J-20 in public domain and most information remains classified,
Su 30 MKI has very powerful forward-facing NIIP N011M Bars PESA radar with 400 km search and 200 km in tracking range. It is so powerful that it can work as mini AWACs as well. Coming to specific question asked, J-20 tracking by Su-30 MKI is certainly possible even if J-20 is deployed in Lhasa (which is not a forward base). PLAAF may have conducted high altitude testing here.Image below shows that airspace around Lhasa is within 120-150 km as the crow flies and can tracked by IAF SU-30 MKIs flying over Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh as J20 may have come under range.
It is also possible that J-20 was flying with radar reflectors as it was peace time and helps ground crew track and locate if there is any accident etc. However, radar reflectors will also show up on the radar as extension of aircraft radar signature.
Meanwhile Chinese are buying more SU 35 form Russia despite having J20 in their air force.
EDIT 2: those who are more technically oriented. Below is one video (in Hindi) on stealth features and issues to be addressed.

Reliance Industries is apparently net-debt free, but actually it’s not

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. (ANI )
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has announced that it has become net-debt free. In March 2020, it had reported a net debt of Rs1.61 trillion ($21 billion). Since then, it has raised $15.2 billion by selling stakes in its digital services arm, Jio Platforms Ltd, and its $7 billion rights issue that was oversubscribed 1.6 times.
While the fundraising spree was unprecedented, the fact remains that about three-fourths of the proceeds from the rights issue will be received only in the next financial year. So it may be more appropriate to say that RIL’s reported net debt is on its way to being zero. Perhaps, one could say RIL has become virtually debt free, although, of course, no such term exists in an accounting sense.
In any case, it is important to remember that there already exists a wide gap between RIL’s reported net debt and estimates of its debt by credit rating agencies and brokerage analysts.
Analysts at CLSA, Bernstein Research, Kotak Securities, Goldman Sachs and Nomura pegged the company’s net liabilities at Rs2.4 trillion-Rs2.6 trillion in FY20. They included deferred spectrum liabilities and capex creditors to arrive at their estimate of true debt. Some analysts add debt transferred to the fibre investment trust (InvIT) and end up with an even higher net liabilities figure.
Even so, the extent of fundraising is substantial and RIL’s net debt will reduce meaningfully. If the $15 billion deal with Saudi Aramco concludes and the company manages to tie in a sponsor for the fibre InvIT, it can end up being net-debt free even in the books of analysts and rating agencies.
But RIL has been known to deploy a ‘high debt, high cash’ strategy. This helps in keeping its investment options open. As such, it may well retain a large part of the cash from further asset sales, rather than repay all its creditors.
