" Ice on the rope " - Students on the gallows
We stand with a rope around our neck on melting blocks of ice.
With this metaphor, we want to illustrate the devastating consequences of the polar ice caps melting far too quickly, because the number of climate deaths should not be underestimated. Around 300,000 people die every year worldwide as a result of global warming. The number tends to rise as sea levels rise. Heat waves and droughts are drying up the country, and forest fires are destroying livelihoods. Even in Germany, water is threatening to become scarce. And there are many other reasons to draw attention to climate injustice.
