Why are Hindu temples closed during eclipses?

In the eclipse period the doors of temples or all the places of Goddess are closed. As long as there is an eclipse, no person receives the Darshan of God in the temple.
According to the scriptures, “eclipse is considered impure, and the shadow falling in this period disproves all”.
There is a belief in Hinduism that the time is used since eclipse and as long as the eclipse remains, the time is not finished.
Due to the presence of gods and goddesses in this time, sin increases and virtue decreases. For this reason the philosophy of Goddesses has been barred during this eclipse.
After the eclipse, all the places of worship are purified, cleanliness is done in the temples, the entire temple premises is purified, only after that devotees of the temple are opened.
Like the temple after the eclipse, we should also bathed God in the temple of the house. After this the whole house should be sanctified by the Ganges water. This eliminates all the negative energy spread in the home environment. Positive atmosphere is created.

Scientific reasons are stagnant, but rules made in accordance with state-time-situation are necessary to keep updating it at the present time, only when they are recognized by most public. Two things are primarily effective for establishing any rule,
  1. Fear
  2. Greed.
By duly promoting these two things, you can establish any rule in society.
In religion, both of these things are included. Therefore, the immediate determinants of our society resorted to most religions to prevent the side effects of eclipses. Since this side effect can not affect the public, but in the era of current information and technology, when we are well-versed in science, it is inappropriate to resort to religion to adhere to these rules and to make it inconvenient for the unconscious.
Today's young generation hesitates to accept such rules. It will be more effective to tell directly to the generation today that during the eclipse, some rays emanate from the moon and the sun, whose contact with them has adverse effects on our health and if they do not want to contact these rays If done, bathing should end.
The main objective behind shutting down the doors of the temples is this because there is a kind of rule and reverence for the regular temple going in public. Therefore, those devotees who have the rule of going to regular temples are closed for the temple to save them from the adverse effects of eclipse.
Thank You.
