Owls on the tree and in the Parliament

Many Owls used to sit on a  tree

One day the tree was cut 

But Tree was happy that it got rid off Owls although itself is dead now.

The happiness of tree was short lived as its wood was cut to make chairs for Indian Parliament

Time is witness as many Owls only still sit on these chairs.

एक पेड़ पर ऊल्लू बैठते थे... 

एक दिन पेड़ काट दिया गया...
पेड़ बहुत खुश हुआ...!!
सोचा, मर कर ही सही, उल्लुओं से पीछा तो छूटा।

मगर पेड़ की खुशी...
उस वक़्त ख़ाक में मिल गई जब...

उसकी लकड़ी से...
संसद भवन की कुर्सियाँ बना दी गयीं...

तारीख़ गवाह है आज भी...
उन कुर्सियों पर 'ऊल्लू' ही बैठते हैं...!!


Note:-Owls are generally solitary, but when seen together the group is called a “parliament” as they have long been considered to be of a wise disposition. In Greek mythology, the owl is the symbol for Athena, the goddess of wisdom. Geese are called a “gaggle” as the word is imitative of the noise they make.
