A man in Germany has found a rather unique and healthy way for his tiring commute to his workplace. Benjamin David swims two kilometres everyday along the Isar river in Munich to overcome the traffic.According to a report in BBC, David decided to swim to his office after he became fed up of the traffic on the city roads. His daily ride earlier was not only time consuming but more than that it was an emotionally stressful experience for him.
Carrying his essentials including his laptop and a suit in an inflatable waterproof bag Benjamin swims the two kilometre long stretch and also takes proper precautionary measures including knowing the current speed and temperature of the river water. Benjamin uses swimming suit or trunks depending on the season to cope with the temperature. He has to also make sure that he wears rubber sandals in order to protect his feet from possible glass shards lying in the river.Though his unique way of travelling to office has invited amusement to laughter from a lot of people, Benjamin says that some of them have started joining him in his daily swim to work.
