HISTORY OF U.S.INTERNVENTION AND THE BIRTH OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE

It all began with Spanish-American War in 1898.

The USA won the war against Spain and took over the territories that they had - Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam.

Guam becomes a major American military base. It was a jumping-off point for the U.S. war in Vietnam

Cuba is a country that America won but local rebellion pushed us out. Puerto Rico did not have a revolutionary movement when we took it over, and there never was a serious revolutionary movement in Puerto Rico, hence it is still a US colony.

Why is America Addicted to Foreign Interventions?

Money! Money! Money

America's Military is way Too Big and only benefits armament industries, corporations, and millionaires.

There were 392 U.S. military interventions since 1800 reported by our Congressional Research Service in October 2017.

Forty-six military interventions from 1948-1991, from 1992-2017 that number increased fourfold to 188.

The U.S. military currently counts over 1.3 million personnel on active duty, with over 450,000 stationed overseas over 800 military bases.

The United States spends more on its military than twice as much as China and Russia combined.

This military hegemony has brought more defeats than victories and undermined democratic values at home (Jan 6th) and abroad.

The fault lies not with the soldiers (Veteran), but with the mission and our leaders including the Military.

American foreign policy around the globe has caused America to be despised by many countries and world leaders.

Harper's magazine published a list of covert actions initiated by the Government of the United States of America, through the CIA, without the knowledge of the American people, and without any debate in the Congress,

The record of antagonism is lengthy. Below is the brief record.

In 1963, an attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro was unsuccessful.

In 1963 in the Dominican Republic, the U.S. organized a military coup to overthrow the government of Juan Bosch.

In 1963 in South Vietnam, the U.S. precipitated conditions leading to the assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem.

In 1963 in Ecuador, they overthrew the government of Carlos Julio Arosemena.

In 1963 Iraq, they provided financial and military assistance to Mustafa Barzani to establish independent Kurdistan.

In 1963 Chile, they provided $20 million to Eduardo Frei Montalva to defeat Salvador Allende in the elections.

CIA organized a campaign of assassination, propaganda strikes, and demonstrations to overthrow the government of Salvador Allende, leading to his assassination.

In Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic, they trained the police and intelligence personnel in assassination and interrogation techniques to help defeat opposition which was unsuccessful.

In the Congo in 1964, they provided financial and military assistance to defeat the rebel forces loyal to Patrice Lumumba, but he won only to be assassinated.

In South Vietnam in 1964, the U.S. attempted to eliminate the Viet Cong infrastructure through more than 20,000 assassinations in an operation called the Phoenix program.

In Laos in 1965, the U.S. implemented sabotage and ambush missions called Operation Shining Brass, which was later renamed Prairie Fire.

In Indonesia in 1965, the U.S. organized a propaganda campaign to overthrow the government of President Sukarno, which led to the massacre of more than half a million Indonesians.

In Angola, they provided military assistance to forces trying to defeat the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola during the Angolan Civil War.

In Jamaica, they organized a 1976 military coup to overthrow the government of Michael Manley. They tried to assassinate him three times which were unsuccessful.

In Grenada, they attempted to organize a coup to overthrow the government of Maurice Bishop in 1980.

In Dominica, they provided financial support to Eugenia Charles in her bid to defeat Oliver Seraphine.

Eugenia Charles won and stood by President Ronald Reagan and called for America's intervention in Grenada.

In Nicaragua, they recruited, trained, and equipped anti-Sandinista forces for sabotage and terrorist insurgents into the country.

In Suriname, the U.S. government was behind three attempts to overthrow the government of Colonel Desi Bouterse.

In Guatemala, they organized a military coup to overthrow the government of Angel Anibal Guevara Rodriguez.

In Chad, they provided military assistance to overthrow the government of Goukouni Oued Dei.

In Libya, the CIA orchestrated campaigns of economic pressure, propaganda, and military maneuvers to destabilize the government of Muammar Gadhafi and assassinate him.

In Iran, the U.S. overthrew the government of Mohammad Mossadegh and placed the Shah of Iran on the throne so that multinational corporations could get the oil out of Iran at a cheaper price.

Ralph McGehee, author of "Deadly Deceits: My 25 Years in the CIA," was stationed in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, working as a case officer on covert operations.

Speaking with Senator Pat Moynihan, he said: "Mr. Chairman, I believe that CIA covert operations, whether paramilitary or not, have helped to destroy democracy around the world.

By means of these operations, the CIA has replaced popular governments with brutal, murderous, U.S.-controlled military dictatorships that torture and kill their own citizens.

America's foreign policy toward Central America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America reflects their own wickedness toward these peoples. America, like a giant serpent, has deceived the whole world.

"Behind the scenes of US foreign policy there lies a predatory wolf that sometimes changes into a cunning fox," wrote Khamenei on Twitter, asserting there was no difference between Biden's presidency and that of former President Donald Trump.

These interventions multiply our enemies, weaken our moral authority, increase the hatred toward Americans (9/11), and they are expensive, 2.6 Trillion dollars of the Afghan war.

Charity begins at home. We need to switch on the lights in our own home.

We need investment inside the United States to eradicate poverty, build infrastructure, enhance education, healthcare, develop childcare, and take care of our seniors.

We should allocate our resources to organizations and agencies that will actually make our country more resilient, prosperous, and secure.
