Did Rahul Gandhi let the country (India) down when he declared that 'democracy is dead in India' during his March 2023 visit to London? Why does he always speak like this, during his visits to England or Europe only? Replied by Manisha thru Quora

He did not let India down.

India did not elect him to represent her at international stages.

He's a simple Member of Parliament from a constituency in the state of Kerala called Wayanad.

Voters of Wayanad elected him to represent them.

Since they chose him, I'm assuming they don't care what he says/does but if asked of my opinion, I'd say he let the people of Wayanad down when he said democracy died.

He was elected, yet democracy is dead.

People of Wayanad need to question him in the coming LS elections in 2024. They need to seek the explanation of his democracy is dead in India rant.

Now the second part of the question:

Why he speaks like this in UK or EU.

Well it's simple really. They give him the platform for doing this.

Remember when he visited various colleges here in India & spoke his usual gibberish? Students did not support him. I distinctly remember students in one lecture cheering yes to his question if Clean India Campaign is working or not. This is a brilliant example of direct democracy. What else would one need? You ask a question to an audience & they instantly answer!

Anyway, after repeated insults (!) I'm assuming either the educational institutions are not inviting him for public speaking or his advisors are actively avoiding such invitations, if any.

So his minions organise meet ups in foreign locations for him to barf his usual non$ense. They gather like minded men & women, carefully put them across as if they're genuine audiences asking real questions & craft video edits to show the Prince using big words.

PS: He's hateful. He's hateful for not being the sole choice of PMship. And his hate for the Indian electorate is out in the open. I wonder if the electorate of Wayanad will respond to his hateful behavior in the same manner as the electorate of Amethi did.

Democracy, you see!
