As per latest reports, the Thane sessions court judge, on June 06, announced veteran actress Mamta Kulkarni and her hubby Vicky Goswami as exclaimed criminals.
The report said that Judge HM Patwardhan said that the two were absconding criminated in the Rs 2,500 crores drug haul scandal. The court is expected to seize the two properties of Kulkarni situated in Andheri and will forward Red Corner Notice (RCN) in opposition to the pair in the upcoming hearing session.As per the reports, a strict warrant below Section 82 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) got released by the sessions court.
The Thane police officials represented by Special Public Prosecutor Sisher Hirey had filed an application for the order to get cleared a month before.
Before this below Section 73, a non-bailable warrant got also released against Mamta Kulkarni and her hubby Vicky Goswami on March 28, 2017, that remained unrequited.
HERE IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW “We have sufficient confirmation to show that Kulkarni and her hubby Goswami were openly involved in making and supplying drugs. In addition, the officials have also taken the reports of neighbours in Andheri that is the last known address of Mamta”, stated Shishir Hiray, Special Public Prosecutor.
“The court detected that the charged are proclaimed offenders and announced them as an absconding charged in the case. We are putting forward the case before the court to issue red corner note against the pair and consent to seize their properties in Andheri. We are yet to verify if Vicky has properties in Gujarat,” said Hiray In the meantime, a higher Thane police official disclosed, “After Goswami taken into custody by DEA, Kulkarni has fled from Kenya and after the court directs to issue Red Corner Notice against Kulkarni we will extradite her for the formal arrest and interrogations.”
