The Adani group is set to expand its footprint in Telangana, revealing plans to manufacture missiles and counter-drone systems, along with the establishment of a pumped storage power and wind energy project. According to top officials from the Gujarat-based conglomerate, discussions took place during a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday, a TOI report stated.

Gautam Adani's elder son and Adani Ports & SEZ Managing Director, Karan Adani, along with Adani Defence and Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi, also explored the idea of constructing industrial clusters in the hybrid annuity model within the state, as reported by sources.

Additionally, the Adani group, based in Gujarat, is contemplating a substantial increase of 300MW capacity to its existing data centers in the state. CM Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Telangana Industries & IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and Industries & IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, extended an invitation to the Adani group to enhance its investments in the state. It's worth noting that Adani Group already operates an unmanned aerial vehicle aerial vehicle manufacturing facility, in collaboration with Israeli player Elbit Systems, at the Adani Aerospace Park near the Hyderabad international airport.

During the discussions, CM Revanth Reddy assured the Adani representatives that the state would facilitate the necessary infrastructure, amenities, and subsidies for new industries, reinforcing efforts to propel industrial growth and generate employment opportunities.

The meeting comes amid intense targeting of Adani by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has repeatedly attacked Adani Group and its chairman for getting favours from the Centre. Rahul has repeatedly alleged that Adani is being protected by the Prime Minister of India and has also questioned the Modi government about "why it's not getting Adani investigated?"
