Citigroup has sacked with one of its employees, a personal banker, over her controversial social media post that seemingly endorsed Adolf Hitler's Jewish genocide during the Holocaust. The post, which linked Israel to recent escalation in Gaza, was widely condemned on social media who wanted action against the woman, Nozima Husainova.
Husainova's remark, "No wonder why Hitler wanted to get rid of all of them," drew widespread criticism after the non-partisan group ‘Stop AntiSemitism’ shared a screenshot of it on the platform X. The group wasted no time in addressing the investment banking group directly, tweeting, "Is this vile antisemite your employee, Citi?"
