The Pakistan government has clarified that the explosion sound reported from Dera Ghazi Khan in the country's Punjab province on Friday was not the result of any bombing incident or sabotage, but could be due to a sonic boom.


A loud explosion-like sound was reported from Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday evening and its impact was reported to have been felt around 50 kilometres away from the site. The incident led to panic in the area and social media went abuzz with speculation.
